A stylish woven dress shirt for tall men, made out of superfine Merino wool. Joe Woven Shirt Extra Long is 3 cm longer on the body, and 2 cm longer on the sleeves. Finished with a subtle button-under which makes the collar stay up. This shirt is meant to be worn open, without tie. Tuck, untuck, with or without jacket, under your Joe pullover, button under closed or open – the possibilities are limitless. Just like your good looks!

The Miraculous Micron

Joe uses ultrafine, superfine and extrafine Merino wool for its essentials. The difference is in the micron count. One micron equals one millionth of a metre, and refers to the diameter of the Merino fibre. The lower the micron count, the thinner the fibre, and the softer the wool feels on your skin. The reason? Thin fibres are more flexible, and caress your skin on contact.


Light weight

Joe’s thin pullovers. At 170 to 310 grammes literally lightweight. First level of coziness. The first pullover you get out when seasons change.

Mid weight

A textbook pullover. At 260 to 560 grammes a little heavier and warmer than their thin cousins. Great for autumn and winter.

Heavy weight

Returns are free of charge within the EU. There are two ways to return your order:

  1. 1) You can use a carrier of your choice. Please follow the instructions that came with your order.

Sustainability and Joe go hand in hand. Let us tell you why:

- Joe stands for slow fashion. Meaning we do not bring out seasonal collections, but only styles that will last you all year round for many years. For the same reason we don’t “do” sales and do not keep stocks that must be destroyed by season’s end.

- All our styles are made of Merino wool, if not fully at least partially. Wool is one of the most sustainable materials used for clothing. It is all natural, fully biodegradable, plastic-free and recyclable. And not unimportant – we only use Merino wool produced by non-mulesed sheep.

- When dyeing, we always go for the most sustainable process that uses as few chemicals as possible. Our dyeing process is ‘bluesign’-certified. The lack of chemicals is one of the reasons why our Joes hardly pill.

- All our packaging is made of 100% biodegradable cardboard and recycled and recyclable plastics.

- And lastly: with our fits that are constant and dependable (not so easy with woollen items as you might think) and our smart size calculator we have minimised the number of returns.

Made of superfine Merino wool and Tencel, the shirt is extremely soft and a pleasure to wear direct to the skin. Wrinkles? Rarely. A light touch-up with your iron will do after washing. Merino wool suits all seasons. Wanna know why? Because it has qualities that ensure wool is ultimately wearable year round, no matter what the temperature. Added bonus – the shirt is machine washable.

For this shirt Joe uses superfine Merino wool with a thickness of around 17.5 micron. There’s your answer why Joe items are so silky soft and do not prick: the structure and fineness of our Merino wool.

Merino wool has a reputation worldwide for its softness, strength, and breathable and temperature-regulating qualities. As if that were not enough: Merino wool is 100% natural, renewable and biodegradable. In short: Merino wool is amazingly comfortable to wear. All year round.

How to care for Merino wool

Thanks to Merino wool’s antibacterial qualities, you don’t have to wash your Joe very often. Just air your Joe outside for a night, and he will be ready for wear the next day!

Still, we recommend washing your Joe every now and then. You can do this simply and easily on the wool wash cycle in the washing machine (30° maximum, spin cycle no more than 600 rpm). Take a look at the maintenance instructions below for best results.

Take care of your Joe

  1. Wool wash at 30° and 600 rpm max
  2. Use wool detergent, no softeners
  3. No tumble drying
  4. Dry flat
  5. Iron away with a little steam
  6. No bleach
