NATURAL PROPERTIES OF MERINO WOOL
TEMPERATURE-REGULATING
Unlike synthetics, Merino wool fibres are active fibres that respond to changes in your body temperature. So when you’re cold, wool keeps you warm and it keeps you cool when you’re warm.
SOFT ON YOUR SKIN
The Merino wool fibres used by Joe (16.5 – 19.5 micron) are extremely fine and much more flexible than traditional, coarser, wool fibres. That is why Merino wool feels so soft and sumptuous on your skin. Definitely not scratchy!
ANTIBACTERIAL
Merino wool is naturally antibacterial, which means less sweat on your body. Merino wool even absorbs sweat’s odour molecules, which are released only upon washing. No sweat, no stink. Stay fresh!
100% BIODEGRADABLE
Wool fibres (or 100% woollen clothing) that are disposed of will naturally decompose. Within just a few months or years micro-organisms will ‘dissolve’ the wool fibres.
100% RECYCABLE
Wool is easy to recycle. It is one of the most sought-after recycled textiles to be converted into new durable products like clothing, mattrasses, and soft furnishings.
100% RENEWABLE
Renewable sources are endlessly regenerated by nature and will not get exhausted. Merino sheep produce new fleeces every year, which makes wool a completely renewable fibre.

EASY TO REFRESH
The antibacterial properties of Merino wool make Joe's clothes last a long time without washing. Often your Joe just hanging out overnight is enough to be able to handle him fresh the next day!
EASY TO WASH
But if you do need to wash your Joe, easy peasy. All Joe’s are machine washable on the wool setting (at no more than 30°, max 600 rpm.). Read more about how to care for your Joe’s.
