Joe’s t-shirts: the differences
We at Joe have no doubt whatsoever that material, fit and finishing make all the difference in the world. The devil is in the details, they say, so we have made a list of our various t-shirt styles and qualities. From our soft, fine Shirt Collection, to the more luxurious Riva Collection with a slightly heavier structure to our absolute premium Blue Label Collection, made of a deluxe blend of wool, silk and cashmere. Our list shows you the differences at a glance, and will help you decide which style suits you best, or is best for the time of year.

Shirt
Joe Shirt is made of 100% ultrafine Merino wool, 16.5 micron (the lower the micron count, the softer and finer the wool). The fabric feels nice and cool. No wonder this shirt is lightweight and comfortable to wear. Available in 5 styles. The classically hemmed seams with subtle double stitching keep the shirt in shape. Can’t find the tell-tale Joe touch of orange? Check the bottom hem on the right.
Shirt Wool Ramie
Joe Shirt Round Neck Wool Ramie is made of a durable blend of 60% extrafine Merino wool and 40% natural ramie. Ramie is a strong natural fibre from the ramie plant. Thanks to the ramie the shirt has the structure of linen, plus the subtle sheen and the cooling effect. The Merino wool adds comfort and softness. With its relaxed fit and slightly wider sleeve inset this is Joe’s coolest T-shirt for summer.
Riva
Made of 100% superfine Merino wool with a 17.5 micron count, the Riva Crew Short Sleeve is a bit thicker and woollier than the Joe Shirt quality. The coarser knit provides more structure, but does not take away from the light weight and comfort. The sleeves and hems feature finely ribbed hems. The knit, the slightly heavier structure and the refined finishing will make you feel like an effortlessly trendy Italian. The subtle hint of Joe orange can be found on the bottom-right hem.
Blue Label
Blue Label Crew Short Sleeve is made of a deluxe blend of extra fine Merino wool, silk and cashmere. This makes this our absolute premium collection. Extremely comfortable to wear thanks to the breathable, colour-fast Merino wool that doesn’t lose shape. With a subtle shine and a cool feel thanks to the silk. Lastly, the cashmere makes the t-shirt extra soft. The sleeves and hems feature finely ribbed hems. And no, you won’t find the trademark Joe stripe. The orange detail has been replaced by a subtle stitch on the bottom hem in the same colour as the t-shirt.
Blue Label Pique
Blue Label T-shirt Piqué is made of a deluxe blend of super fine Merino wool, silk and elastane. The difference? Well, the name is a dead giveaway. Blue Label T-shirt Piqué is made using the wellk-known, slightly coarser piqué structure. Extremely comfortable to wear thanks to the breathable, colour-fast Merino wool that doesn’t lose shape. With a subtle shine and a cool feel thanks to the silk. And lastly, a close but not too tight fit thanks to the stretchy elastane. Characteristic splits on the side, yes. Orange Joe detail, no. Instead a subtle stitch on the bottom hem in the same colour as the t-shirt.
